1st Burntwood turns 70!

Date: 3rd Sep 2020 Author: Rich Williams

2019 was a Birthday year for 1st Burntwood. We have 32 Scouts, 51 Cubs over two packs and 38 Beavers over two colonies.

We have a fantastic leader team now with a full complement of section, assistant and support leaders in place.

We celebrated our 70th Birthday in style with a group camp in the sunshine at Beaudesert including beavers under canvas for their first time.

All sections have participated in district activities, particularly the swimming where we did especially well. Our excellent local programme continues to thrive particularly during lockdown. The young people and their parents have really engaged and lots of badges have been awarded.

We have taken delivery of our container to be our new canvas store and have other projects planned for when we return.

We have a great Scouting team at Burntwood supported by a fantastic Exec and parents which are keen to grow to enable more young people to enjoy scouting to the full.
